Announcement

We are thrilled  that Prof. Bronwyn Hemsley from the University of Technology Sydney will be presenting insights from her team’s recent international study titled “Systematic Review of Interventions Based on Gestalt Language Processing and Natural Language Acquisition (GLP/NLA): Clinical Implications of Absence of Evidence and Cautions for Clinicians and Parents.”

In this session, Prof. Hemsley will:
  • Share recent guidance on GLP/NLA and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Provide strategies for AAC design, including feature-matching assessments and a strengths-based approach
  • Offer methods for evaluating new information and appraising evidence to support ethical treatment decisions

This is an invaluable opportunity for professionals in speech therapy, language acquisition, and AAC to deepen their understanding of emerging practices and evidence-based strategies.
