What is this course?

This course will provide an update on the current evidence base for supporting children’s language and communication skills in the early years. It will provide an overview of the effectiveness of different techniques and interventions to improve language and communicative development in preschool children. It will also support learners to develop their critical appraisal skills to interpret research evidence, crucial where resources are increasingly tight and practitioners need to be confident that the interventions they choose are likely to work.

Course presenter: Prof Julian Pine and colleagues from the ESRC LuCiD Centre

Professor Julian Pine is the Director of the ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development (LuCiD)

Julian Pine is a Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Liverpool and Director of the ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development (LuCiD)  He will be joined by researcher colleagues from LuCiD.
