After the recently launched RCSLT (2024) Position Paper on Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), this is a new, one-day course, delivered by Dr Pam Williams. This course provides a theoretical update and looks at assessment protocols and specific tools. We also consider differential diagnosis and evidence-based intervention approaches.

“Well-organised and easy to access the course materials. The presenters were clearly highly experienced but also had excellent facilitation/ teaching skills and their passion for their work was apparent and infectious! Examples of past cases and the video were very helpful in hanging the technique on.”
“I loved this course so much about this course. I really loved the breakdown of recommendations across different areas for both assessment and intervention resources. It is rare that you receive therapy/intervention recommendations within SLT training, so this was definitely something I took away as a huge positive.”
“It was accessible to practitioners of varying experience and abilities. There was a good balance of information and activity. The presenter was engaging, approachable and knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with her and confident in her abilities. The breakout rooms were a good size.”
