The Therapy Outcome Measure Handbook is a thoroughly updated resource (Revised 2025). It brings together all the elements needed to help the reader understand and implement TOMs within their own team and with their clients. The Handbook now includes a Patient Reported Outcome Measure based on TOM principles (TOM-PROM).
What’s included
The theory and development underpinning the scales is now incorporated with the User Guide and Scales in one volume. The number of adapted scales has risen to 85, with a unique measure for measuring the impact of Long Covid. Some scales have been updated to reflect changes in attitude and new knowledge. Twelve useful case studies illustrate the use of the TOMs in a variety of settings such as pulmonary care, art therapy and secure institutions. Additionally, several scales were developed by and for multidisciplinary teams working with different client groups. This Handbook contains all 85 scales, so it is the overarching complete collection of everything that is available.
